HUNTING IN THE GARGANO

The Gargano National Park, famous nature reserve rich in flora and fauna typical of the Mediterranean, is a very interesting destination for excursions and trips, but also has private areas where you can hunt, especially in winter months.

The hunting season, in fact, usually includes the period from September to January, the months in which you can take hunting on an unique biological island, the Gargano, a stone's throw from our Hotel Arancio in Rodi Garganico, an ideal location for hunting lovers.

The National Park of Gargano has high biodiversity, which includes pedegarganiche steppes, pine forests and marshes, an extremely varied background to practice different types of hunting, especially the most challenging of the migratory game.

Approximately 170 species of birds are nesting in the park, where you can capture thrushes, blackbirds, pigeons, quails and larks, in a high security and with a deep respect for the surrounding area.

In addition to hunting during the period allowed by law, it is possible to go hunting all year round in the Gargano at the Nardini Park, an area of 70 hectares where the shot only affects farmed venison. Inside the park there is also the ZAC area, dog training area, a perfect place to improve the training of own hunting dogs.

A short distance from Park Nardini is the grave of Olympic Target Shooting, the TRAP, ideal for those who want to perfect shooting techniques to be used for hunting.
